Wireless Printing with SMARTALEC

 
Wireless Printing Instructions

iPhone/iPad
  1. Download Smart Alec App from App Store
  2. Log into your account (you will need your library card/username and password/pin)
  3. Open page/doc you need to print on the device and locate the “share” icon.
  4. From the Printer Options screen, use fingers to “pinch and zoom”document.
  5. Find the “Share” icon again and tap it. A menu of apps will pop up. Scrollthrough to find Smart Alec App.
  6. Your page/doc will be loaded as a PDF to the Smart Alec app.
  7. Click “Send.” Page/doc will now appear as a PDF in your Smart Alec app.
Android Phone/Tablet
  1. Download Smart Alec App from the Google Play Store.
  2. Log into your account (you will need your library card/username and password/pin)
  3. Open document/file you want to print.
  4. Select the “Share” option and then “Print.” Some apps have a “print” buttonand no “share.”
  5. Choose Smart Alec from “Select a Printer” at the top of the screen.
  6. Click the “Print” icon. You’ll be asked if you want to use Smart Alec as yourprinter.
  7. Click “OK.” Your page/doc will be loaded to the Smart Alec app.
Laptop/Home Computer
  1. Save the file or document you want to print.
  2. Go to
    1. https://smartalec.smartalecprint.com/SmartAlec?ID=ClaytonCountyGA
  3. After you log in, upload your saved file: click Choose file, select your file, and click Upload
