Ms. Mapillar Dahn, Chair
Mapillar Dahn is a national award-winning Sickle Cell Disease advocate and the Founder/CEO of MTS Sickle Cell Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness and supports families impacted by SCD. Ms. Dahn alson runs digital marketing company where she advises individuals and businesses on strategic marketing practices to help them succeed both in print and online.
Of the many hats that she wears, Ms. Dahn's favorite is that of being the mother of her three beautiful daughters, Tully, Deej, and Hajar. Mrs. Andrea Wade, Vice Chair
Mrs. Wade was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She received a Bachelor's in Family and Science Consumer Science from Fort Valley State University, Masters in Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University, and a Specialist's degree in Information Technology from Valdosta State University. Currently, Mrs. Wade is a Media Specialist with Clayton County Public Schools. Mrs. Wade is the 2023 Media Specialist of the Year for Clayton County Public Schools. She is a proud wife of seven years, mother of four girls and two sons. Mrs. Wade loves to read, travel, and enjoy family and friends. Ms. Yvette Dupree, Library Board of Trustees Member
Dr. Yvette Dupree is the Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Supervisor and the Coordinator of Youth Apprenticeship for Henry County Schools. Dr. Dupree's responsibilities include oversight of CTAE instruction for ten middle school exploratory programs and 45 high school pathways for 200 teachers and over 19,000 students. She is passionate about developing CTAE programs to provide students with career preparation and structured work experiences linked to their coursework, interests, and goals. Certified in marketing, business, and early childhood education, she has taught high school business and marketing, serving as an Advisor for Future Business Leaders of America, DECA, and chartering a chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. Dr. Dupree has been recognized as a Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education Outstanding Educator, Georgia Marketing Education Association Educator of the Year, and is a member of the Georgia Department of Education's LEAD CTAE Class of 2019. Dr. Dupree is on the Board of multiple organizations, including the Georgia Association of Career and Technical Education - Work-based learning/Youth Apprenticeship Affiliate, the Society of Human Resource Management - Greater Henry Chapter, and United Way of Greater Atlanta in Henry County. She graduated from the United Way Volunteer Involvement Program and Leadership Clayton. Yvette earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Master of Arts for Teachers, and Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Georgia.
Mr. Dwayne Fabian, Library Board of Trustee Member
For more than thirty-one years, Mr. Dwayne Fabian has served in law enforcement in varied capacities and for different agencies in Georgia. Mr. Fabian began his law enforcement career as a Police Officer with the Savannah Police Department, where he achieved advancements during his tenure culminating in his appointment as a detective in the Auto Theft Division, leading the department in the recovery of stolen vehicles. After seven years, he left the Savannah Police Department to begin a career with the Georgia State Patrol. Mr. Fabian continued his advancement in law enforcement with promotions to Senior Trooper, Assistant Post Commander, and Acting Post Commander. After over thirty-one years of dedicated law enforcement and criminal justice service in the State of Georgia, Mr. Fabian retired in 2016. Mr. Fabian is a resident of Clayton County and an active member at Knights Monumental A.M.E. Church in Stockbridge, GA under the leadership of Senior Pastor David A. Morrow, where he serves as the Chaplain of the Men's Ministry. Mr. Fabian’s memberships also include the Georgia Sheriff's Association, Member of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, the Southern Police Benevolent Association, and the National Association of Black State Troopers Coalition. Mr. Fabian is a co-founder of TeenTalk2Action where we concentrate on School Violence, Dating Violence, Community Violence, and Mental Health.
Dr. LaWanda Folami, Library Board of Trustees Member
Dr. La Wanda Folami . Born in Griffin, Georgia to Bishop Bobby Ray Harps and Evangelist Jo Ann G. Harps. Dr. La Wanda Folami reside in Forest Park, Georgia for over 40 years. Dr. Folami attended Walter F. George High School and Paine College in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Folami received her Honorary Doctor of Divinity, also received a Certificate of Ordination from United Christian Church and Ministerial Association. Dr. La Wanda Folami work ethic consent of Real Estate, Loans and Branch Management. Dr. Folami is a member of Single Parents, Unity in the Community, Concerd Citizen (Forest Park), Community Planning Unity, MTS (Sickle Cell Awareness), Kappa Sweetheart/Diamonds. Dr Folami is a Community Liaison. Dr. Folami volunteer with 7 Pillars Career Academy and Forest Park Recreation Center. Dr. Folami coaches Basketball (boys) and Volleyball (Girls). Dr. Folami has received Proclamation and State of Georgia Resolutions. Dr Folami is a proud grandmother of Amina (Judge), Amaya(Professor) and Menelik (sports announcer) Scholar.
Brenda Harrison, Library Board of Trustees Member
Mrs. Harrison born and raised in Atlanta and has been retired from the US Postal Service since 2013. She has many years of community service and volunteerism in Clayton County. She is a graduate of the Grassroots Leadership Institute (2016), Leadership Clayton (2017) and a member of the Chamber of Commerce serving on several committees. She is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters and three amazing grandchildren. Ebonique Miller, Library Board of Trustees Member *
Mrs. Ebonique Miller, a dedicated member of Clayton County for 15 years, with 20 years of experience in education, is eager to bring her expertise to the Clayton County Library Systems Board of Trustees. Currently serving as a Literacy Coach and Assistant Principal, Mrs. Miller understands the profound impact libraries have on fostering a love for learning. As a mother of three and married to an educator, she deeply values education and its role in the community. Her residency in Clayton County and her dedication to her family have driven her commitment to enhancing library resources and opportunities. Mrs. Miller is eager to use her skills, passion, and experience to support the Clayton County Library Systems as a Board of Trustees member, strengthening and expanding the library's invaluable services and programs.
Mrs. Crystal Perry, Library Board of Trustees Member
Raised and educated in the Deep South, Crystal Perry was the first in her family to attend and graduate from a four-year college. Crystal is an equity focused African American mother of 21-year-old twin males, wife, educational leader, and founder of the Melanated Pearl Corporation, whose mission is to empower, educate and uplift women of color. A 2000 graduate of Agnes Scott College with a BA in Africana Studies, and a 2003 graduate of Georgia State University with an MA in Early Education, she has lived in Clayton County over 17 years and is also a proud member of the Teach for America 2000 Metro Atlanta Charter Corps.
