Get a Library Card

Who Can Get a Card?

pines-cardPINES library cards are free to all residents of Georgia, including those who live in areas of the state served by a library that does not participate in the PINES network. People who attend school, own property, or are employed in Georgia but who live out-of state are also eligible for a free PINES card. Most PINES cards are valid for two (2) years from date of application.

Library Cards for Kids

There is no minimum age for a child to receive a PINES card. A parent or legal guardian must register for his or her child, if the child is under 18 years of age. The parent or legal guardian needs to show his or her own proper identification to register a child, and he or she must sign the child’s application. A child’s parent or guardian is responsible for materials borrowed by his or her child. All children applying for a library card must be present at the branch at the time the application is processed.

All Clayton County Public Schools students are eligible to sign up for a digital library card! Each student can e-mail his or her name and school name to claytonreads@clayton.k12.ga.us to request a digital library card. The digital library card can only be used to access Clayton County Library System digital resources.
