Test Preparation
See the Preparing for College Subject Guide for a great list of free resources to help you prepare for taking the SAT, ACT, GED, GRE, TOEFL, and more. Learning Express, RB Test Prep, and Brainfuse all provide practice tests, and Brainfuse also provides tutoring on any particular area that you need help with. Learning Express and RB Test Prep both require the current GALILEO password (call us at 770-473-3852 if you need the password) and Brainfuse requires a Clayton County PINES library card.

This site provides online classes on software programs (Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and more) and web scripting and technologies (HTML, PHP, podcasting, web design, and more). (Most classes have the first few parts for free so you can see what they are like, but it requires payment to complete the classes.)
Open Culture: Free Online Courses
This site collects links to free online courses created by universities such as Stanford, Yale, MIT, Oxford, UC Berkeley, Notre Dame, and Harvard. Subjects include art, economics, geography, film, history, language, law, philosophy, astronomy, biology, computer science, engineering, physics, and more. This is a great way to learn more about a subject for your own personal interests or to help you determine what types of subjects you wish to pursue in college.
