Alonso is a poor teenager who lives with his mom, dad, and his siblings. Things start to change from bad to worse when his mother is threatened. His mom stands her ground and refuses to stop working. She is killed, leaving her family devastated. Money is hard to get and his father gets drunk almost always from grief. Rosa, Alonso's friend, tries to help as best she can as she can as the "Shining Path" a revolutionary terrorist organization starts to take over. Alonso is left with very few options as people start leaving and he might have to do the same.
