What is RFID?

RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) is the latest technology to be used in library theft detection systems. Unlike EM (Electro-Mechanical) and RF (Radio Frequency) systems, which have been used in lib raries for decades, RFID-based systems move beyond security to become tracking systems that combine security with more efficient tracking of materials throughout the library, including easier and faster charge and discharge, inventorying, and materials handling.

What is the Automated Sorter?

What is Self-Check?

What does this mean for library customers?

While new technology is always exciting innovative, the Library will still hold its core values and daily operations at the forefront.  You still be greeted by a warm and welcoming face and offered the very best in customer service.  The RFID system is just here to help us streamline operations to be able to better assist library users on a daily basis.
