How do I print from the library's computers?
You may print from the library's computers in either black/white or color. When you are ready to print, use the Print option in the software you are using (in most cases, you will click on File and then on Print - in Microsoft Office 2007, you will click on the round logo in the upper left-hand corner and then on Print). On the Print box that opens up, select the printer (Black/White or Color), select the Page Range, and select the Number of Copies. Then, press the Print button.
To pick up your copies, locate the Print Release Station. At some library branches this station is self-service (you enter your library barcode number and follow the instructions), but at other library branches you must tell the staff member at the service desk which computer number you were on in order to get your prints.
Using Print Preview:
When using a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, it is difficult to tell how many pages will print out from a single web page. Sometimes, a web page will print a blank or useless page after the page you really want. Since you must pay for each page that prints out, even if it is blank or useless, it is a good idea to use the Print Preview option to display a preview of how the pages will look once they are printed out. This way, you can see which pages you really want.
Not all software programs have a Print Preview option, but in most cases you can get to it by clicking on File and then Print Preview. In Microsoft Office 2007, you can get to it by clicking on the round logo in the upper left, then the arrow next to Print, and then Print Preview.
You may ask a library staff member if you need assistance.
