[Young Adult] Virals is the first novel in new series for young adults by the author of the Temperance Brennan "Bones" series. Tory Brennan lives on an island with her scientist father and has several equally smart and adventurous friends. Their adventures turn frightening, however, when they rescue a dog being illegally used in the lab for testing, and they all become infected with a mutant strain of the parvovirus. Now Tory and her friends aren't quite human any more - they're a pack of Virals with special abilities, and guaranteed adventures to come.
